After collaborating on the design of the “Duo-Face” watch from the Rpaige Watch Co., Richard Paige challenged Duo-Face case designer Mark Carson to come up with an unexpected watch design. The result is the Art Deco “Crash of '29” watch, featuring a restored vintage American pocket watch movement along with newly designed and produced case, dial and hands. The watch was originally launched on “Kickstarter”, and was successfully funded.
Using a “12 Size” vintage American pocket watch movement makes for an impressively sized art deco masterpiece watch. The case is approximately 49.7 mm wide by 57.5 mm tall and 12.7 mm thick. Even at this size, the angled lugs and flat bottom make the watch sit snugly on even average to smaller wrists.
The strap is 22 mm wide at the lugs and tapers to 20 mm at the buckle. The case is 316L Surgical Grade Stainless Steel. The watch features a sapphire crystal and an exhibition back which shows off the movement's decoration and 18,000 BPH operation.
Water resistance is rated at 50 meters (150 feet). The watch is paired with a leather strap and each watch will be sent in a zippered travel case. The warranty is 12 months and covers the watch case, crown, dial, hands and movement.
This is your chance to wear a true piece of American watch heritage as a modern wristwatch from established watch makers. Series strictly limited to 49 pieces.
