Original vintage German Laco Movement manufactured in 1944
case:
The case design of the Aviator 1944 is made of Black PVD and Stainless Steel 316L. 43mm square case with 4 massive real screws. This design is an homage and a smaller reproduction of the Russian board instrument used in the combat plane I16 during WW2. Each case is numbered on the back the number in the series. There are only 144 worldwide.
The introduction of this airplane dates back to 1933. The readability was the fundamental criteria behind the creation of the I16 watch, just as with the I16 aircraft board instrument itself. The final watch design is very close to the historical board instrument. The dial of the historical Aviator1944 is a nearly perfect copy of the original I16 board instrument. Strong Luminova optimizes the readability!

Movement:
New old stock from Laco Watch Manufacturing Company, Pforzheim, Germany. The Laco factory was destroyed by the Royal Air Force (RAF) on the evening of February 23, 1945, in a large bombing raid. The movements survived the wreckage, and were discovered in a rubbish container. This is an extraordinary find for watch collectors and watch history.

The Aviator 1944 dial comes with strong glowing Luminova for perfect readibility during night.
Also the hands carry the Luminova, the style is the same like in the historical Clock. The seconds dial below 12, is a tribute to the original onboard clock on the instrument panel of the airplane cockpit.
The brown strap is Handmade and hand stitched made from thick leather. The stitching is made by hand. The buckle is deep engraved and appears in the look of a wing.
