Very Rare Burlington Special,made by Burlington watch Company of Chicago, Illinois. Fancy enamel Dial with rare 19 jewel “swan neck” movement from 1912. The Burlington Watch Company, was a mail-order sales company. By selling directly to the consumer, they were able to eliminate the costly sales and distribution channel. The company was in business from 1909 to 1925.

This is a “One-Off” – only one in the world

Polished Stainless Steel Convex sapphire crystal front, diamond coated glass display back. Water resistant to 50 meters.

Movement:
Very rare 19 jewel Burlington Watch Company antique American pocket watch hunters case movement. Manufactured in 1912. Bimetallic balance wheel, gold jewel cups, gold balance screws, gold train wheels.Time and temperature adjusted, “Swan Neck” regulator.

Dial:
Original Burlington Special antique white enamel dial, with very fancy Arabic numbers. There's been a slight damage to this dial on the sub second dial -hard to notice. Original antique hands that we red enameled tipped.
American manufactured watches were fitted with porcelain dials from 1852 to the 1930s. Made from different colored ground glass that was applied to a copper disk and fired in a kiln at high temperature.
